Missions
Missions here at Ingleside represent the love of Christ in action. Our mission projects come from many of the ministries here at Ingleside.
United Methodist Men's Mission Activities:
United Methodist Men support Grace Camp, which is a program to send children of incarcerated parents to a Louisiana Methodist camp. The United Methodist Men do different fundraisers through out the year to fund the cost of sending children to camp. We also offer trasnportation with our Church van to camp.
United Methodist Women's Mission Activities:
The United Methodist Women's Missions include MacDonnall House, North Rampart, Dulac Community Center, and also Sager Brown. We do a variety of fundraisers through out the year, such as the easter lilies, poinsettia's, garage sale, etc to raise money to help out in whatever capacity is needed.
SPECIAL OCCASION
We offer a White Gift program that has been a part of this church for years. This is where needy families are prescreened and a tag system is developed to make sure all children have presents under their christmas trees, and not only toys and gifts are purchased, also other necessities like coats and shoes as well. These gifts are presented on Ingleside's Children's Christmas Pageant day.
Alternative Giving is a a way to honor loved ones on special occasions by choosing from a group of Ingleside United Methodist Church mission projects and sending a monatary donation in their honor. Each donation will be sent on to the selected mission and you'll receivec a card you can send to your loved one. This mission is one in which you can give in the name of a friend, family member, or neighbor to a great cause.
HOPE MINISTRY:
Hope Ministry is here in Baton Rouge that supplies food and services in the local area. we, here at Ingleside are incourages to support this program by bringing non-perishable food and paper products to our church. Once a month, a member of the church will deliver the much needed food products and paper products to the Hope Ministry Food bank. products can be brought and put in the baskets in the front entrance of the new sanctuary.
